First off, this is a website on the Internet. You are an idiot if you trust any website or website operator with personal, private information that you wouldn't tell a complete stranger. I am a stranger to you, so act accordingly.
I won't sell, lease, rent, or do anything stupid with your e-mail address or other personally identifying information. Any information you do choose to supply is kept in confidence. Why anyone would sell your information to a probable competitor is beyond me.
Of course, your information protection doesn't preclude the possibility of this website getting hacked and a database of user information might be stolen to be used for some nefarious purpose. But that is beyond my control. Obviously, I will strive to keep the site secure from such a breach but there are never any guarantees.

There are some people out there, thanks to various anti-malware vendors, who are scared of browser cookies, disable them, and therefore run a broken web browser. Then they try to convince other people to do the same thing and that they know what they are talking about. Such people are somewhere between "batty" and "nutjob". The issue raised by the anti-malware vendors is directly related to the major ad networks and analytics sites. Go install an ad blocker (e.g. AdBlock Plus) and maybe a script blocker and then turn cookies back on. You'll thank me.
Some parts of this website collect IP address information, mostly for anti-spam purposes. It is possible to do a reverse lookup of an IP address and get your city, state, and country of origin, as well as your Internet Service Provider (ISP). I'll only part with IP address information under a court order and possibly under protest. Make the government go through the motions of proper due process even if it costs taxpayers more money - they will either do it right or not at all.
Anything that gets publicly posted will get indexed by Google and tons of other websites for all time. If you say something you regret - too bad, so sad. Everyone will be able to read it even if it gets deleted off this site. I am not responsible for what you might say or do.
